Dieter Rister studied law and philosophy in his home city Cologne (Germany). In 1984 he moved to the UK to practice law in a firm of solicitors near London and, since 1988, works as a freelance translator for national and European institutions at the highest level. He lives with his beloved wife in a remote farmhouse in Wales.
